THE NATURAL
Apostle Emma S. Dickens was born and raised in the historic town of Princeville, North Carolina. In 1969, she reluctantly attended a revival service held by the late Pastor Roy Lee Epps. She attended this revival never with the thought that she would NOT leave in the same manner she came. At this particular revival is where she met the Lover of her Soul and she willfully made a decision that would change her life forever and change generations; which has had a replica effect for over forty plus years to date. Because of this decision, she has several family members including a Mother, Step-Father, Sisters and Spiritual Daughters that now rest in the Bosom of Jesus.
Apostle Emma is married to Apostle Ernest Dickens. She is an outstanding mother of five daughters: Pastor Chantise Dickens, Elder TaMeika Dickens, Deaconess LaTangee Knight, Elder Dazzala Cofield and Elder Shenita Bethea. She has two son-in-laws, Elder-Elects Dexter Cofield and Mark Bethea; and three wonderful grandchildren Toni Whitaker, Sheniya and Markise Bethea, whom all are very supportive and serves faithfully within the Ministry.
Apostle Emma is a woman of many accolades. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and in counseling earned from the American Counseling Association.
Apostle Emma is a possessor of the Five-Fold Ministry. She’s an Apostle chosen and appointed by God and has been equipped with an Apostolic, Prophetic Deliverance Anointing to destroy yokes, set the captive free, empower the believers and convert the unbelievers through nothing but the True and Living Word of God! The growth and developmental stages of Apostle Emma dates back well over forty years to date.
She is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Kingdom Empowerment Ministries, Inc. She is also an author, chairman of ESD Ministries and the founder of Kingdom Empowerment Academy.
She has accomplished many things over the course of her life, but no material or worldly recognition is as important to her as to what she’s constantly striving for the most….The Soul-Winning Crown! “Winning Souls for the Kingdom” is the heartbeat, continuous drive and zeal of this woman of God.
THE SPIRITUAL
Many years ago, Apostle Emma made the decision to dedicate her life to the Lord and has lived each day after knowing that her life is not her own, but belongs to the Father….Apostle Emma is a saved, sanctified and a Holy-Ghost Filled Servant of God. She also has been blessed with many sons and daughters that she has nourished and birthed in the spirit realm that are very precious and dear to her heart.
Apostle Emma is a possessor of the Five-Fold Ministry. The growth and developmental stages of Apostle Emma dates back well over thirty years.
She began this journey in 1980 as Co-Pastor of the Good News Deliverance Church in Leggett, North Carolina along with her husband, Apostle Ernest Dickens. Good News Deliverance Church began organizational fellowship with the Apostolic Faith Church of God and remained in that affiliation for over twenty years. At this time, Pastor Emma labored with the local assembly and the AFCOG’s Young People Ministry.
In the early part of 1990, God began to deal with Pastor Emma about starting her own work; a work of a different design and flavor but same goal; to build up the Kingdom of God. He began to show her the need of many souls needing to be saved and they were just waiting like the lame man that laid by the Pool of Bethesda for their appointed time and season for deliverance and to be rescued from a life of sin and poverty. Through much praying and fasting, she was led to the town of Scotland Neck, North Carolina. This work was birthed, consecrated and given the name Tabernacle of Victory and Deliverance Worship Center, Inc. TVDWC was governed by particular specifications given by God for the time and season for which the people were in. This was a place where people could come and receive salvation and worship the Almighty freely; it was a place in which the “Word” brought a “Change” and the “Worship” brought “Deliverance“.
In the year of 2003, several local ministries united to form God’s United Churches of Deliverance Organization. During the formation of GUCOD, Pastor Emma was named an Executive Official with this organization and was elected as a Vice-Bishop. From 2003-2007, she served faithfully in this capacity. And from 2007-2008, she was elected and accepted the elevation and responsibilities as Presiding Bishop of the GUCOD Organization. It was of a great honor to Bishop Emma to serve over sixteen churches including one international Ministry in Kenya, Africa. While serving in the capacities of Vice-Bishop and Presiding Bishop, she still personally continued to pastor two churches.
The beginning of 2008 started off with a uniquely designed consecration of fasting and praying. God appointed this particular year as a New Beginning for Bishop Emma and her Ministry and spoke specifically to the Prophet that there was going to be a Shifting in the Body…A Change! In October of 2008, God released Bishop Emma as Presiding Bishop of GUCOD to fully walk in her destiny without religious limits or boundaries. Not fully understanding the Mission herself, she trusted God!
In November of 2008, God saw fit to bring the two churches, Good News Deliverance Church and Tabernacle of Victory and Deliverance Worship Center, together to create one strong union “Kingdom Empowerment Ministries, Inc.” which is located at the former Tabernacle of Victory and Deliverance Worship Center, Inc. edifice.
Today, Kingdom Empowerment Ministries, Inc. is one of the Strongest, Dynamic, Unique and Fire-Driven Ministries on the East Coast. The Scotland Neck location also serves as the headquarters of KEM with two other locations in Greenville and Williamston, North Carolina. This ministry is designed by the Almighty and is led solely by the Spirit of God. At KEM, Apostle Emma is training and equipping Kingdom Soldiers for this latter-day move through Revelation and Illumination that flows straight from the Throne of God. Apostle Emma has been equipped with a God’s given ability to take His Kingdom to dimensional levels. She has been endowed with a Joshua Anointing to preach and teach in this 21st Century. The Message has not changed just the Method!!!
In July 2009, Apostle Emma finally accepted the Apostolic Mantle that she knew was always there. With over forty years of steadfastness in the Ministry, Apostle Emma walks in the Prophetic and after the Melchizedek Order…Priest and King Prophet. Being empowered by God combined with years of experience qualifies her to “skillfully” operate the School of the Prophet, which began its operation in August of 2009.
Not only does Apostle Emma mentor and coach but she is a giver. The Ministry is continually blessed because of her ability to reach out to share with others. Pulpit furniture, pews and other furnishings have been given from her ministry to other ministries and businesses in Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Scotland Neck, Rich Square, and Virginia to name a few, that were starting out and needed help.
Outreach also is her passion. Several times a year she is led to go into neighborhoods and sponsor give-a-ways. This is done by providing a hot meal, giving away clothing, shoes and information that will help the community to live. Providing prayer and showing people that someone does care for them.
Many have come to the realization that an Apostolic Prophetic Deliverance Anointing is needed to govern the Body of Christ in this Latter Day move. Many are hungry and has a desire to be trained and taught how to stand strong in such a demonic world and are coming from all across the states to be trained by the Master Prophet and Priest. Apostle Emma has and is currently mentoring and coaching Pastors, Evangelists and Ministers outside of the local Assembly on Knowing, Acknowledging and Embracing who they are in Kingdom, how to be Productive and Effective Leaders in the Kingdom, and knowing their “Blood-Born Rights as Citizens of the Kingdom” through nothing but the Real Anointed Word!
