As you know I’ve been without a mother since 1988, a grandmother since 1994 and a brother since 2010. In 2011, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and I thought my life was over. For two years, I went through up’s and down’s almost ready to give up – not able to eat, drink or sleep. In 2013, I was told that I had Lupus, and again I thought, “I can’t take no more.” More heavy loads came and my husband after 15 years of companionship and marriage told me that he couldn’t take no more and he left. But through it all, I kept hearing a voice telling me, “Don’t give up, it’s not your time.”

I was searching for something to fill my voids, thinking it was in the world but didn’t know what it was. Still suffering through pain, one evening after work I went to Walmart and a young lady approached me and we struck up a conversation. She told me they (KEM) were having a biblical training (bible study) in Pinetops at the center and invited me to come. I wasn’t doing anything so I thought I would check it out. When it was time to get ready I felt something trying to keep me at home by making me sleepy and bringing on pain but I went on. I was just talking to a friend and telling her that I needed to get back into church. When I got to the bible study, I felt like I was at home. The environment had me feeling something I never felt before so I said I was going back on Sunday.

On that Sunday I felt the holy spirit tell me “It’s time to come home and stop running.” Needless to say, I gave myself to the Lord on that day. I started noticing that my skin was brightening up and the pain was lessoning. But what really got me was when I looked at my legs one day and the knots I had were gone. God I know it was you that kept me and covered me. I’m thankful for your Grace and Mercy, for without it I don’t know where I would be right now. P.S.
